Tired of the lack of power in tablets but want more portability than a netbook, then the Asus Eee Slate EP121-1A019M is something of interest coming in at £999. It is a 12 inch tablet PC. This means unlike most tablets which are great for viewing content, but lack the power for creating content you can run everyday packages such as Adobe Photoshop, video editing etc thanks to the Asus running Windows 7 and having a Core i5 processor.

Windows 7 on a tablet is horrible as many people say. This is true when it has been squeezed onto a small device but at 12.2 inches the Eee Slate EP121-1A019M provides enough screen real estate to allow icons to be big enough to touch. Handy for graphic artists and Photoshop fans the tablet comes with a digital stylus pen hidden behind the rear which is pressure sensitive (over 250 rates of sensitivity to pressure). This work superbly, and even is good for typing with auto correction for Microsoft Word. It also has intant on via standby.

The Eee Slate also comes with a bluetooth keyboard out of the box and thanks to its USB ports and HDMI can be connected to a larger screen and mouse if required. Also you could just as easily plug in your camera or SD card. It is not a direct rival to the iPad or Asus’s own laptop come tablet the Transformer Prime, but offers something very different and unique. True power and versatility combined with usability of being large and powerful enough to create.
